Kate is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience working with various populations. She began her social work career working in community mental health with folks experiencing homelessness and/or housing instability. Her experience includes working with people with a wide range of mental health diagnoses including anxiety, depression, trauma and personality disorders.

Kate earned her Perinatal Mental Health Certificate to further her passion and expertise for mental wellness of pregnant and postpartum people. She helps new parents acknowledge and honor the roller coaster of emotions that comes with these big changes. Kate collaborates with parents to build coping skills and engage in moments of self-care that are accessible and achievable for folks in the nitty gritty of babyhood.

As a parent who experienced infertility herself, Kate utilizes her lived experience and clinical knowledge to help clients explore all the challenges they are experiencing (physical stress and oftentimes, financial stress) and how it is impacting their emotional and mental well-being. She helps clients build self-compassion and support for this season of life.

Parenting is hard and can bring up many mixed emotions. Kate collaboratives with clients compassionately and nonjudgmentally. She helps clients navigate the stuff parenting brings up for them to leave them feeling more regulated, competent and prepared for what comes next.

Kate’s clinical approach is informed by various modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and somatic therapy. She also enjoys digging into the connection between neuroscience and trauma, anxiety and depression to build insight and self-compassion.

Kate is a parent to 2 small children. She enjoys exploring the outdoors (which, let's be real, that's a playground most often these days) with her husband and kiddos. She has also recently re-ignited her love of libraries and reading, as her tiny humans allow.
