Kelly Smedley is a board-certified Clinical Specialist in Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing with over 25 years of experience in the field. She is the founder and owner of Waypoint Counseling & Maternal Wellness, PLLC, a thriving multidisciplinary group practice that grew from a solo provider to a team of 31 in just five years—across two physical locations in North Carolina.

Kelly’s success stems not only from her clinical expertise in perinatal mental health, but also from her strong leadership, strategic planning, and the ability to navigate the behind-the-scenes challenges of private practice—like managing insurance headaches, developing systems, and building a healthy team culture.
