Shana Sobhani
MSW, LCSW-A

Shana is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate dedicated to supporting individuals and families through all stages of the perinatal and parenting journey. Shana has specialized training in the treatment of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders through Postpartum Support International, and is working towards her Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C).
As a parent herself, Shana deeply understands the complex and often conflicting emotions that can arise during these transitions. Shana approaches each person’s experience with gentleness and understanding, creating a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where clients can share their story, explore their emotions, and build tools to navigate life’s challenges with greater ease and self-compassion. Shana is committed to helping individuals process their experiences, strengthen emotional resilience, and nurture meaningful connections with themselves, their partner, and their family.
In addition to her perinatal and parenting work, Shana has experience supporting survivors of sexual violence. She understands the profound impact trauma can have on mental and emotional well-being, as well as on one’s experience of parenthood and family life.
Shana creates a warm, open, and safe environment where individuals feel empowered to bring their full, authentic selves. Her therapeutic approach is tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals, drawing mainly from modalities that strengthen self-compassion and understanding, such as Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while also utilizing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to address disruptive thoughts, behaviors, or experiences. Shana also integrates other modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and somatic practices to build internal resilience and strengthen coping skills.
Grounded in a trauma-informed perspective, Shana believes in walking alongside her clients—following their lead and honoring their pace on the path toward healing and growth.
