Spring Yoga Series

Free, donation-based classes open to the community - all levels welcome! Join us for our Spring Yoga Series, once a month at our Raleigh office beginning on March 22 - and then the first Friday of each month at 5:30 PM.

Yoga Class

This is your class, so Jeanie always takes requests! But you can expect classes designed for physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. By linking breath to mindful movement, Hatha yoga allows us to pause from the busy world and reconnect with ourselves. This 1-hour class is set to rejuvenating tunes and is thoughtfully sequenced with modifications and variations throughout - to open up more gently or challenge yourself. Each class ends with guided meditation and relaxing adjustments to top off your truly "me time" moment.

Hatha Yoga

While Jeanie enjoys leading all types of yoga classes from the rigorous to the restorative, this Hatha style class provides the chance to slow down, stretch it out, and give a some TLC to balance your body, mind, and spirit. Clean mats are available to use, but feel free to bring your own, a water bottle, and any props (blocks, straps, blankets) you'd like to use.

About Your Instructor

Yoga Class

Jeanie loves to share the benefits of yoga for injury and illness prevention as well as the effectiveness of yoga as therapy and medicine. She is trained in perinatal yoga and is a trauma-conscious instructor with over 10 years of teaching experience. Students in Jeanie's classes notice that yoga improves not only their mood but overall state of mind, well after rolling up their mats.

 

In 2014, Jeanie graduated from West-East Yoga, a Yoga Alliance-registered school with a curriculum focused on anatomy & physiology, biomechanics, and the mind-body connection. Emphasizing traditional Indian styles, her intensive study also included meditation instruction, breathing exercises, and the history and philosophy of the ancient practice.

 

Passionate about helping others undo the daily misalignment and anxieties of modern life, Jeanie has had the honor to teach many different students, from perinatal mothers, athletes, cancer patients, children, seniors, and everyone in between. She looks forward to working together and building community with you!
