Desiree is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate with over 15 years of experience working in the mental health field. Desiree has worked as a mental health therapist and behavioral coach. Most recently, as a behavioral coach; providing services to individuals and couples making lifestyle change and managing mental health challenges. Desiree has experience working with trauma survivors, anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, substance abuse and other mental health disorders. As a coach, Desiree developed the ability to help her clients change their lives by using a range of techniques and strategies, including mindfulness exercises, relaxation techniques, change systems and self-monitoring to make necessary life changes.

 

As a therapist, Desiree will bring many of these strategies as well as use a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to help her clients achieve their goals. Desiree is a trauma informed therapist having received training at the DC Rape Crisis Center. She has led groups, provides individual and couples counseling.
